Soprano

Victoria Gydov is a versatile artist and classically trained Soprano, experienced in presenting music that spans the creative gamut from opera, operetta and oratorio, to musicals, jazz, gospel, contemporary and crossover music. Victoria has a natural flair for acting and believes in performing with her whole heart, whether the mood and music calls for romance, comedy or drama, and always with sincerity and passion.

Victoria was originally born just outside of Copenhagen, Denmark and has lived, trained and performed in Scandinavia, as well as in the U.S. and Canada. She has appeared as a soloist with symphony orchestras and in concerts as well as having performed on numerous stages in a diversity of shows, including having sung on TV, radio and recordings.

A special love for powerful and positive music and it's potential to deeply touch, uplift and inspire the human spirit, and the desire to share this love with people is what continues to drive Victoria to sing. It has always been her dream, her ambition and what gives her joy and a sense of purpose.

Victoria strongly believes that her dreams are a gift that was planted in her heart by God, and she hopes to honor Him and to hopefully bless and encourage as many people in the world as she can through her music and life.

Past Performances

In addtion to having sung in theatrical shows and with orchestras, Victoria has performed in a diversity of concerts in the U.S., Canada and Scandinavia throughout the years, including having made appearances at corportate events, private celebrations, castle gallas, as well as benefit and fundraising concerts. Victoria also enjoys being a regular soloist with a local big band at various venues and at outdoor concerts. Victoria has received warm amd positive accolades for her believable, strong stage presence and passionate, dramatic singing. Having been chosen as a winner of the, "Calling All Diva's Contest", Victoria was invited to sing in the, “Tomorrow’s Diva’s Today Concert”, where she performed opera arias and duets with Canadian lyric opera tenor, Mark DuBois and The Mississauga Symphony, and has since performed again with Mr. DuBois in concert at The Festival of The Sound. Victoria recently participated in a concert tour in the U.S. and Canada with “The Nordic Singers”, of The Royal Danish Opera from Copenhagen, Denmark. For Inspiration In addition to loving music, Victoria has a strong admiration for the written word. When the mood strikes her, and she feels inspired to do so, Victoria has been known to write songs, poems, stories and thoughts or ideas that hold meaning for her.
